"I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious."

If you’ve had a look at the website, you might be wondering –  what is all this stuff?  Why so many different things in one place? Why don’t they concentrate on one thing at a time?

Now there’s a question my parents asked for years!

I am 64 years old.  I live with a wonderful man whose band I joined in 1988. We left the band, but I kept the guitarist!  We rent a large farm north of Byron Bay, Australia with two beautiful rescue dogs, and three quirky rescue horses.  Life is quiet, but I miss performing like a hole in my heart.

Professionally I have:

  • a Degree in the Performing Arts (1987) from the University of Western Sydney
  • a Masters in Writing (2016) from Swinburne University
  • performed as a singer for 20 years
  • acted in theatre, TV and in film
  • directed theatre productions
  • worked as a sound and lighting technician in professional theatres
  • written five as-yet unpublished novels and one 20,000 word novella
  • written three produced plays & two that were workshopped
  • written a number of short, episodic and full-length film & web scripts
  • edited tens of thousands of words of others’ written projects
  • produced animations, film and music
  • taught acting and singing to children & under-privileged youth
  • taught lighting and sound technology at T.A.F.E.

Personally I have:

  • had three breast cancer operations in 2004
  • I reached Stage 4 cancer in 2010 when bone metastases took over my body
  • I’ve been sober 38 years
  • I have still got an overwhelming need to help everybody and everything and I’m still working on balancing this!
I have an abundance of knowledge of a huge variety of areas and I want to share some of it. Hence this website.

It’s an ongoing work in progress.

The only things I know with certainty that are true for my life are my life mottos:
  • A day without laughter is a day wasted
  • Never give up, never give in
  • Put a smile on your face and get on with it.
  • If you’re going to do it, don’t feel guilty.
If you’re going to feel guilty, don’t do it.

Above, now.

Below, 1990

A lot of sh*t’s gone down since then!
